I've had this car for 5 years with NO peeling anywhere- and suddenly, I now have 2 dollar-bill sized chunks missing on the side of my car they worked on.....is there a lab or a paint company I can take this to for analysis? Why do people think that window chalk doesn't wash off of car paint? The window chalk is obviously washable and the only reason I think the instructions say not to use on your car paint is so that the company can't get sued if someone uses the wrong type of soap or something to wash the window chalk away from the paint. Removing white paint from car body? Last week we were driving along the road and there was white paint all over the road which could not be avoided. Car paint job where the colors change based on angle? One time when I went to a local shopping center, there was a vehicle that a woman was driving and it had a rather unique paint job applied to it. It was multiple colors and from different angles, the colors would change. You could see green, purple, blue, red, yellow, orange and some other colors. It wasn't painted in a fixed pattern either. One place that you saw purple, it might be green or red or blue, etc from a different angle. (I want to make sure there is no confusion on that). When I asked her about it, she mentioned that she bought the vehicle from someone who had done that paint job so she didn't know how it was done. Car paint scratches? I did something which I realize now was stupid, I decided to use the brush at the hand jet wash because my car had so much dirt on it and now the car is covered in swirly scratches. Last summer I was with a painting company for about 3-4 months, mostly preparing walls by sanding, taping, scraping and then sometimes painting with rollers. What I didn't like was breathing the paint when they were spraying the paint, I think it was an oil based paint. Sometimes I had to use paint thinner and xylene (which is the strongest) to thin the paint and remove old paint. I think they were spraying half the time I was there but I was also wondering about the dust from sanding the old paint and putty/plaster stuff, how harmful is that? I was thinking about going back since I could actually start this Monday instead of searching for a job. I already know the type of job it is and need to buy a truck/car soon with what I have saved and what I could get working there again.

Opinion on Maaco painting a car? I see the commercials for $199 paint job on a car. Now my car is no beauty and I recently did some sanding and primer over much of the car. how do i make a complaint to a company? We had painting contractors out to paint the outside of our houses. When they was painting my neighbours house i noticed them looking around my car so i went out and there were fine white paint splashes over the car. I informed the company and they said they would send someone out to t-cut it. Do the companies paint the person's car for free...the trade-off being free advertising for the company? How do people attain these paint jobs? Or, am I way off? Do people actually pay to have this sort of paint work done on their cars? (My car needs paint! I wanna contact some company, if they actually offer to paint vehicles in this fashion). : )

is anyone interested in a car-designer of a high level ? i'm very experienced in drawing cars and even painting them. I've been doing this for the last 12 years so now i make so shiny, so beautiful, so elegant. It's like a burning fire in my brain. So now i'm doing futuristic cars so i think i can have job in a high-level luxury car COMPANY !

Where can I get some touch up paint? My car (1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28) has some rock chips that I would like to touch up. The color is Medium Patriot Red Metallic (paint code: 71U bc/cc wa- u9913), but neither the dealer nor duplicolor seem to carry it anymore. Does anyone know somewhere I can get some and/or some other good paint companies I can try?
