How much is it to re paint a car?

I am thinking of buying a 97 Honda Prelude and this car has a bad paint job. It's a very rare car to find here too. I was wondering how much it would cost of get the look of a shiny new car paint job from stores? Any tips for me? Any good deals? Thanks you.

5. If the car doesn't need body repair the lower priced paint jobs are about $300. The sky is the limit on the top end .
6. 50 bucks a panel as a rule of thumb haha...um some places will be about 300...macko i think does that a good prefessional shop will be more like 800

8. my friend owns a body shop and he asks his customers how long do you plan on keeping the car? if they say a short time he sells them the cheaper paint ($100-$200) it will look nice but it will last a shorter time. if they say a long time it is the expensive paint ($200-$500). better paint last longer and also looks better.
