How to get my car paint looking like brand new again and one other random question?

I have a Honda Accord 09 the paint doesn't look good anymore. No physical damage done to the car, it just has a lot of those light scratches a few spots where the paint is worn down and isn't shinny anymore. What can I do to make the exterior looks brand new/like new again? Random question-My car is a 09 accord when I brake it makes a screeching sound, is that normal?

1. try waxing it a few times for the gloss again otherwise need a new paint job. the brakes can be depending on the noise you are referring to, either getting low on your brake pads ( would sound high pitched and annoying) or if it sounded like a grinding more like metal on metal when you pushed the petal than that could be you have no more pads and are grinding the rotors down and that will be a very expensive fix. bout 70 dollars a wheel.
2. You can try buffing it with ultra find grit buffing compound (2,000 grit or higher) 3M makes a buffing compound for clear coat vehicles. Brake screeching is never a good sign. Get them checked out.
