Car Paint Company

my company car got hit and there are paint marks on the rear spoiler. How to fix it without telling the boss?

Oklatom - I asked teh question because it really was'nt my fault, just the company moan any time you bring an issue to them, and I just did'nt wanna be bothered. I'm sure teh boss knows already, I just wanna get it sorted - but no, I don't lie asa habit and think those comments are just garbage. Please don't bother writing if that is the best you can come up with. Everyone else - thank you.

  1. pay for it yourself
  2. Don't bother, you'll be insured.
  3. Buff it off with very fine grain sandpaper (will take off the paint that rubbed on it but not your car's paint) and then give a new coat of wax
  4. Take it to a body shop and pay for it out of your own pocket.
  5. wipe the excess off and t cut your car unless there are any dents alternatively say it was hit in a car park or you dont know anything about it LOL
  6. no tell the boss the co has ins on the vehicle to handle reapirs like this
  7. They should rub out easily. If not, you can buff them out.
  8. I would act just as surprised as your boss, I would deny any knowledge of it to my grave!
  9. You can go to the car dealer and they have paint pens to fix the scratch. Now the advise i would simply leave it the way it is an tell the boss i am sure he would rather you tell him/her rather than find out any other way. Company cars are insured. good luck
  10. If indeed your company car got hit, that would make it not your fault, wouldn't it? So what's the big deal with telling the boss and allowing company insurance to fix the problem? Or do you make it a habit of lying to your employer?
  11. Buy a tube of 'Scratch Remover' from Halfords. It costs less than 10 pounds. If it is only paint marks and no dents, this will restore it without leaving any traces. Do not use sand paper. Follow the directions on the tube of Scratch Remover. This is more effective than T Cut when it comes to removing paint marks. You night need to polish the spoiler with some wax after using scratch remover on it. Tip: Wash the whole car before you return it, because a sparkling clean spoiler on an unwashed car would be a give away.
  12. If it's just paint marks, T-cut will bring it off. Finish the job with a bit of car polish.
