How much does a car paint job cost?

I have a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT and was wondering how much a decent paint job would cost. The hood, spoiler and rear of the car are very faded, and looks the the roof is gonna get bad soon to, so I want to have the whole car repainted. The color is Emerald Green if that matters. Thanks!

2. It depends on the quality of the prep work. Half of an automotive paint job is in the prep. If you cheap out, you are gonna end up with an Emerald Green radiator and tailpipe. If you plan on changing colors, it is especially important to find a good paint shop because some low budget painters will leave you with a red (or whatever) car and green door sills, under hood, inner trunk, ... Just make sure you invest in a quality paint job at a respected body shop and follow all care instructions after getting it done.

4. A $300 Maaco job will be looking like your car is right now by this time next year. It all depends on where you are and who you know. I've heard of a $50 paint job which uses a roller and from what I've seen looks better than anything Maaco does a year later and if you don't mind doing some work that might pay off or at least buy you some time to save money and find someplace you want to paint it.
5. your looking at $4,000 to $6,000 for a good job and a little bodywork.
